TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating
System)
Our
management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide
direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing
it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us.
~1 year plan and rocks~
Provide an opportunity for everyone to
share what they believe the organization’s strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats are. This is the classic SWOT analysis, a management
tool for helping an organization take a good look at itself and clarify its
current state, both good and bad. This is the Annual Meeting Pulse, and nothing
is sacred. Working your way through the V/TO, take a hard look at your core values,
challenge the core focus, make sure everyone is still on board for the 10-year
target, and confirm that the marketing strategy is still unique and valuable to
the customer. Where you’re not on the same page, discuss and debate until
everyone is in sync.
Rocks to make sure that they are on
track. Review each Rock one at a time—first the company Rocks and then each
person’s individual Rocks. Each person reports that his or her Rock is either
“on track” or “off track.” No discussion—the discussion will happen later. When
a Rock is off track, it’s dropped to the IDS portion of the agenda. “On track”
simply means that the owner of the Rock feels he or she will accomplish it by
the end of the quarter. Even if a Rock is on track but someone wants an update or
has a concern, it should be dropped to IDS. Rock review should take no more
than 5 minutes.

Tips:
~ Accounts~
Start by thinking of all
the various compartments that make up your life. Most people can organize their
lives into seven to twelve distinct areas. We call these Life Accounts. The
Circle of Being. The innermost ring is a collection of activities focused
solely on you in relation to yourself. It includes your spiritual,
intellectual, and physical accounts. The Circle of Relating. The second ring is
a collection of activities centered on you in relation to others: your marital,
parental, and social accounts (e.g., friendships, church or synagogue, book
club, and so on). The Circle of Doing. The
third ring is a collection of activities dealing with you in relation to your
output: your vocation (job), avocation (hobbies), and financial accounts.

Mastering Body Language
According to
research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
(PNAS), people consider information from body language over facial expressions
when perceiving emotions. This study effectively proves that you can get
your message across to people more firmly if you use the right body language.
That makes this one of the most important skills to learn.
Now, “body language”
itself is quite an extensive subject involving gestures, eye contact, body
posture and much more.
To master your own,
try out these 11 body language tricks. Bear in mind that body language
doesn’t improve overnight. In fact, it’s a subconscious change that occurs over
the course of months.

Notable quotes: They are
italicized above.
What do you know about
the Abrahamic Covenant? Why do we need to know about it? What good does it
bring us?
Palestinian Covenant. This unconditional covenant, found
in Deuteronomy 30:1-10, noted God's promise to scatter Israel if they disobeyed
God, then to restore them at a later time to their land. This covenant has been
fulfilled twice, with the Babylonian Captivity and subsequent rebuilding of
Jerusalem under Cyrus the Great; and with the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D.
70, followed by the reinstatement of the nation of Israel in 1948.
Something I want you to know:
Take
