What is happening?

A transition of a tradition, Scratch…….I have been offering you this letter each month for 5 years

now. Because of this effort, you are getting the benefit of the first installment of the book called Scratch – A Journal and Story of a Serial Entrepreneur. From this, we are moving more to a podcast and YouTube channel for our future relevant education and branding called Act of Freedom.

Business Tips:

TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System)

Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us.

~Year in Review~

KEEP IT SIMPLE. They did, and by the end of the year, they accomplished all three goals, increased sales by 19 percent, and had their most profitable year in five years. When everything is important, nothing is important. The EOS approach is going to force you to focus on a few goals rather than too many. By doing that, you will actually accomplish more. That is the power of focus.

Personal Tips:

~ Faith, Living Forward, and a life plan~

1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:1-3

May this season be one of review, looking forward with hope, and allowing God to be a partner in His plan for your life. It is in that living for Him and the hope of salvation that makes life more than worth living.

Life Skills:

What if you could develop these tools this year?

·        Problem-solving and decision-making

·        Interpersonal skills and communication

·        Assertiveness, equanimity, and self-control

·        Self-awareness and empathy

·        Resilience and coping with emotions and stress.

Gaining Control over your Creativity

We all know that creative people are more innovative and are able to find better solutions. But do you ever find your creativity burning out from time to time?

If so, then you’re not alone. In fact, creativity (https://www.lifehack.org/810923/what-is-creativity) comes in fits and bursts for most people.

Here’s the thing:

You can gain control over your creativity so that ideas never seem to run out.

As a writer, engineer and entrepreneur, I know how irritating it is when you’re desperately looking for your creative juices to kick in. Merely waiting it out until you’re feeling creative again can make you lose precious hours… even days! And let’s just face it; we hardly have any time for that.

In order to gain control over your creativity, you can try a number of approaches. My favorite of which is retreating to a creative hobby that you love. This can be playing the piano, drawing or singing. Essentially, you’re looking to get those creative juices flowing so you can utilize them elsewhere.

A useful tip for obtaining a creative problem-solving approach is using the Six Thinking Hats Technique by Edward de Bono. This approach suggests that you divide your thought process into 6 thinking styles (or hats) and use them only one at a time.

For example, virtually wearing the white hat can mean thinking only about the monetary aspect of a decision. Similarly, the red hat may compel you to think of the emotional facet alone while the black hat may warrant considering what could potentially go wrong and so on.

At times when you’re lacking the creativity to tackle a problem, using the Six Thinking Hats Technique can be a gem. Here are 30 more tips to rejuvenate your creativity. (https://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/30-tips-to-rejuvenate-your-creativity.html)

Notable quotes: They are italicized above.

Joy Starts here: Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. – Luke 2:10b NKJV

Starting a joy movement – the conditions making of a rich environment. The sense of “being glad to be together.” A multigenerational family where the weak and strong are together and interacting. Tender responses to weakness are the rule. The interactive presence of God (Immanuel) maintains shalom (deep peace).

Something I want you to know:

Transitions, review your year, faith forward, creativity, and joy are our 2022 focus’.

It comprised a long and winding road that, over the course of hours, took them through breathtaking scenery, waterfalls, cliffs, mountains, and beaches. At the end, there was nothing but the small town of Hana, with one gas station. When they finally arrived, my friend’s wife was very upset. She said, “We drove all of this way for this?” She missed the point. The Road to Hana is about the journey, not the destination. Don’t make the same mistake with The EOS Process. The journey of building a great business is not about the destination at all. Of course, you...
