I appreciate this excerpt of a speech so much especially when faced with those slow to act and confrontationists.
It's not the critic that counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better.
The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errors and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.

We watch movie after movie of entertaining lives of those who have dared to enter the arena in whatever form you want to talk about. I feel it is a call to us through history, ringing in the ears of those once courageous to stand up once again. Life begins 11.1.11.
