None of you can talk to anyone, access e-mail, or talk on the phone. All you have is a piece of paper with a handful of numbers on it. These numbers must allow you to have an absolute pulse on your business. What are all of the numbers that must be on that piece of paper? As a rule of thumb, you should end up with five to 15 numbers—hopefully closer to five. There is such a thing as too much information, so keep it simple. We have found that we are somewhat haphazard in our ability to predict short term how our business is doing. We have managed fine, but we can get better. So, we have found a system that puts the pieces of the puzzle together for us in a very comfortable, progressive, and unifying approach. We went through a year of talking about resolutions. You can find them in the previous months of newsletters that we have gone through together. The resolutions are very important and I recommend you looking at all of them again. I don't really believe that New Year's resolutions are scriptural. I really believe that you should live on purpose daily and be resolved to do so no matter what time of year it is or what your current disposition is. May it be a daily decision to start a new and be resolved to continue. My prayer for you and your family is that you continue to get better and to serve the God who is created you in a way like no other can. It’s the way that the people in the organization meet, solve problems, plan, prioritize, follow processes, communicate, measure, structure, clarify roles, lead, and manage. EOS is made up of 6 key components. They are vision, people, data, process, issues, and traction. Each of these components have tools to help the business stay and keep on track.
