Business Tips:
TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating
System)
Our
management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide
direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing
it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us.
~Trust~
You can ignore the principles that govern trust—but they
will not ignore you. Trust is the new currency of our interdependent,
collaborative world. - STEPHEN M. R.
COVEY
Why, you ask? – 10 reasons: #1—We live in
a world of declining trust. #2—Trust is the engine of the sharing economy.
#3—The nature of work today demands increasing collaboration. #4—Change is the
new normal in a disruptive world. #5—Our multigenerational workforce
necessitates a different approach to how work gets done. #6—Trust is the
critical enabler of strategic initiatives. #7—Trust itself has become a key strategic
initiative. #8—“Culture” has reemerged as an imperative for organizational
success. #9—Yesterday’s style of management is insufficient for today’s
leadership needs. #10—Trust is the new currency of our world today.
“Extending
trust is the ultimate act of leadership, the defining skill that transforms a
manager into a leader.”
Trust comes with practice, and it can bite you more often
than not with those not used to being counted on or make it a habit to not care
or feel like it doesn’t matter. Trust is a business value and a relationship
value. If you cannot trust someone to follow through, then you have a
deficiency in the ability to move forward and will always be capped at the
ability to grow, get things done, hit goals, and also collaborate with team
mates and relationships that require the lending of responsibility,
commitments, timeframes, deadlines, and people.

Personal
Tips:
~ Serving First~
One of our 4 core values is help first / serve. This is seen in
being flexible, being the first to volunteer to learn and help. It is seen when
you are caught considering others before yourself. It is part of the team
culture we are endeavoring to create.
Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by
this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord
Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your
good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust;
he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped
his people and continue to help them. Philippians 2:4 not looking to your own
interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Galatians 5:13 You,
my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to
indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Writing
Despite
rapid digitization, writing remains one of the strongest forms of
communication.
Be
it an office report, a social media picture caption or a romantic text; good
writing can get you some useful brownie points.
But
don’t just consider writing as an important communication skill. Writing is, in
fact, one of the most profitable skills to learn.
Take
it from me; I make a living from this skill and teach it to people all the
time. Gone are the days when you had to write a book to make money writing.
Today, there are industries like blogging, social media marketing, copywriting
that have opened so many doors for people to earn a living through this skill.
You
can try this free course (https://kopywritingkourse.com/free-copywriting-course/) to
polish your copywriting skills. But if you’re looking for a general course to
improve your overall writing, you can check out this online course
by Arizona State University (https://www.edx.org/course/).
Remember,
what crosses the mind and over the fingertips creates concrete neuro functions
that put your subconscious mind to work!
Notable quotes: They are
italicized above.
You are an ambassador?
You are a representation of what you know and believe with
your worldview. Depending on where, how, and if you have influence you are
directly and sometimes indirectly communicating to others how you think, act,
and are. I recommend doing a deep dive in what you are trying to portray.
Analyze what you are an ambassador of and be very intentional about a life well
lived with core values and a pursuit towards your creator. Understanding the
deep questions, purpose, and calling of life places us on a path that all of us
can be assured a unfathomable destination and promise once understood.
Something I want you to know:
Learn
Trust, Serve First, pursue writing and check what kind of ambassador you are.
