Business Tips:
TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System)
Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us.
~ Rocks and Meeting Pulse~
To narrow your vision all the way down to what really matters: the next 90 days. You should determine what the most important priorities are in the coming quarter. Those priorities are called Rocks.
Quarterly Rocks create a 90-Day World for your organization, a powerful concept that enables you to gain tremendous traction. How do they work? Every 90 days, your leadership team comes together to establish its priorities for the next 90 days based on your one-year plan. You discuss and ultimately conclude what has to be executed in the next quarter to put you on track for the one-year plan, which in turn puts you on track for the three-year picture, and so on. In a growing organization, it’s normal to battle for resources, time, and attention. There will be tension. But when you have finished setting your Rocks and all the dust has settled, you should all be united on what objectives take precedence in the coming quarter. The focus of the Rocks is what makes this process so productive. Most organizations enter the next quarter battling on all fronts. They make everything a priority and accomplish very little. By setting Rocks every quarter as a team, you gain considerably more traction and finally reach your goals.
The meeting pulse consists of the quarterly meetings and weekly meets that lead to the annual meeting and toward the goals intended.

Personal Tips:
~ Take time each day to learn ~
"Early in my career I felt some guilt about reading a blog while at work or signing up for a trial of that new software and playing around with it. It felt like goofing off. But now I recognize it as an essential skill and encourage everyone on my team to take time to read and learn. Digital marketing is constantly changing which is scary but also what makes it fun. There's always something new to learn. The people who are able to learn quickly and apply that knowledge to their work will stay a step ahead."
--Brian DeLoach, CMO for Charterup, a group travel transportation platform used by Netflix, U.S. Soccer, Harvard University and Deloitte
Tools & Tech I am using:
Surface Pro
Many of you out there are Apple users. I happen to be a Windows/Microsoft guy. That is mainly due to the programs that I have always had to use that Apple/IOS do not seem to find the need to create. I’m not endorsing Microsoft core values or believe systems, but their tech product in the Surface pro has currently seemed to meet the needs of my requirements. With the light, slim design of its structure I can have the power of a full PC in very small but efficient package. It is able to coordinate with all of my usage on the go. The keyboard acts as a screen protector close up shop and slide it into my padfolio to end a meeting or to open right up at the next appointment or meeting to begin where I left off.

Life Skills:

~Integrity – Building trust~

Are values worthwhile because they provide a ROI or are they valuable only in that they allow you to sleep well every night?
Warren Buffett – why is Integrity his number 1 criteria for selecting people in whom to invest?
Aristotle believed that if an individual did not internalize an ethical value system before the age of 12 they would never really “feel” the need to live their values.  Aristotle separates the ingredients of a Person of Integrity into two levels, the first level are two virtues that are the foundation of all the rest.  The foundational virtues are:
1.       Courage and
2.       Self-Restraint
The edifice of credible character is then built of the following lived virtues:
1.       Generosity
2.       Magnificence
3.       Greatness of Soul
4.       Balanced Ambition
5.       Gentleness (concerning Anger)
6.       Friendship
7.       Honesty
8.       Charm
The Absence of Shame – Aristotle has a hard time with this idea, expressing that shame is a force that is necessary in youth to hold them back from overstepping bounds, but as wisdom develops with age an individual must remove the shackles of shame.
Notable quotes: They are italicized above.
Romans 12:1-2
Philippians 4:6-8
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Something I want you to know:
90 days is a great pulse to follow, learn well, and build trust and hold integrity.

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~Telling the Story~ Some time ago, a friend of mine and his wife visited a major Maui tourist attraction called The Road to Hana. It comprised a long and winding road that, over the course of hours, took them through breathtaking scenery, waterfalls, cliffs, mountains, and beaches. At the end, there was nothing but the small town of Hana, with one gas station. When they finally arrived, my friend’s wife was very upset. She said, “We drove all of this way for this?” She missed the point. The Road to Hana is about the journey, not the destination. Don’t make the same mistake with The EOS Process. The journey of building a great business is not about the destination at all. Of course, you...

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~Traction~ The vision is clear, the right people are in the right seats, data is managed, you’re solving issues, you have defined your way of doing business and everyone is following it. Creating accountability, discipline and execution is where most weakness reveals itself. Traction is the ability to take a visionaries head out of the clouds and place it into clear action. Many are held back for the fear of creating discomfort, but with each hard step towards systematic success, things become straightforward even with contingencies and the tremendous peace of traction. From no accountability, poor communication, stagnation, chaos you will find just the opposite with traction. Accountability...
