Business
Tips:
MANAGEMENT
Management and leadership are often mentioned in the same sentence.
However, leadership is looking forward with vision, dreams, and specific
traits. It is important to separate the two terms. Management is looking at
current results and determining the best way to move forward. Management is
about building leadership in the company. To be a good manager, one must be
constantly learning in order to take the business to the next level. The law of
the lid says that a business can only rise to the level of leadership that those
leaders have attained. Let’s talk about those levels –
1. Learner – just getting started,
“how to steps”
2. Performer – has some time on the
water, can do the task, getting better and better
3. Orchestrator – can count on them,
delegates and teaches how to do task while still doing it themselves, gets more
done with the help of others
4. Leader – teaches orchestrators
how to lead both performers and learners, still hands on
5. Leaders who develops other
leaders – has multiple leaders being trained and continually learning better
ways to make all 5 levels more effective and cutting edge – willing to step
down to any level to do and teach
A manager should be able to
determine what level each of their people have attained and be able to
communicate and train in such a way to take someone to the next level. In order
to do that, it is a constant struggle and learning curve to manage the
relationship, physical work, and mental capacity it takes to make the journey
worth it.

Tips:
GIFT OF Laughter
It’s
not about a comedian in a nightclub or a funny movie.
It’s
the ability to look at yourself, your problems, and life in general, and just
laugh.
“Many
people live unhappy lives because they take things too seriously…life without
laughter is not worth living.”
We must learn to see the joys of life. Joy can
be experience in both struggle and happiness.
Can you find yourself experiencing difficulties
or challenges, but maintain the ability to laugh?
The person who can laugh in the face of
adversity will be happy throughout life.
The Gift of Laughter: Laughter is
good medicine for the soul. Our world is desperately in need of more such
medicine.

Life Skills:
Faith,
Family, Fitness, Finances, Friends, Fun, Following, Freedom; we call these the
8F’s in life. Many of these categories can tell one where their priorities are
in life by measuring the time one would spend in one of the above categories. I
know we don’t have it all figured out, but we have a lot of great sources that
speak into these items and we welcome your comments. Please feel free to drop
us a line concerning any of them.
5 Cultural lies we are
programmed to believe as a result of the unnatural use of and connectivity to
technology:
1.
“I am the center
of the universe.”
2.
“I deserve to be
happy all the time.”
3.
“I must have
choices.”
4.
“I am my own
authority.”
5.
“Information is
all I need. So I don’t need teachers/mentors.”

with Our Kids in a Wireless World.
This
is becoming an epidemic. We need to be serious about this subject as adults and
parents. Let’s ask some serious questions. What could come of this thinking? Am
I suggesting we get rid of technology?
No
way.
I
am suggesting that we train our hearts though. With the correct heart,
technology….just as any other tool can be used as a force for good.
However,
we must know the implications that are happening in the minds of those addicted
to technology. How do you know if you are addicted?
·
You watch your
phone or device for a notification light so that you can respond
·
You post on a
social media site and wait for likes/shares
·
You cannot put
your device down for more than an hour at a time.
·
You don’t have
family time without a device in the room.
What do you do about it?
Change the habit and learn
about the truths that correct these lies. There is your teaser for next month.
Notable quotes: They are italicized above.
Something I want you to know:

INDEPENDENCE
DAY is just around the corner. Don’t forget to celebrate this great country we live
in!
