Business Tips:
·
Learn from
complaints - your most unhappy customers are your
greatest source of learning, let them teach you where your holes are
·
Deliver more
than expected – it’s a great way
to build loyalty and trust in you and your brand at all levels in the company
Personal Tips:
·
Foster a community atmosphere – I teach a few classes, build a
customer’s building, and I make it a point to introduce myself if it’s their
first time with a building. I also introduce my clients to one other.
Other ideas include having a group dinner or doing an occasional group outing.
·
Be yourself – I wouldn’t want to spend an hour three times a week with a
robot. Be yourself. You don’t need to share personal information, but you can
give honest opinions, be a little goofy, and so forth. There is a very human
element to what you do, so be human.
·
Be professional – Show up on time, be prepared, act like an adult, make
ethical decisions, and treat what you do like a career, not a hobby. If it is a
hobby, go find a real job.
Life Skills:
Faith, Family, Fitness,
Finances, Friends, Fun, Following, Freedom; we call these the 8F’s in life.
Many of these categories can tell one where their priorities are in life by
measuring the time one would spend in one of the above categories.
FAITH
Faith can be defined 2 ways
1.
Complete trust or
confidence in someone or something and 2. Strong belief in God or in the
doctrines of religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.
In this bulletin, I want to
share faith with you based on my belief in God. Do you need to believe it? That
will be up to you. We can’t force you to do or think anything. We are a private
company and you have the right to know how it is run.
From the time I was speaking
from a pulpit with note cards due to my Grandfathers probing (Terri’s Dad,
Earl) up until now – I have dedicated my life, my work, and my spirit to the
God that I serve.
Whether you knew it or not, I
have dedicated all the companies that I lead to the work and mission of Jesus
Christ. With that being said, this belief system comes with it many struggles
and successes just like everyone else. However, the differences in my mind have
far displaced any other worldview that I have encountered.
Why? Jesus has gracefully
given me the answers to some of life’s deepest questions.
Origin – Where do we come
from?
Morality – What’s right and
what’s wrong?
Meaning – Why are we here?
Destiny – Where are we going?
I have found that you can
analyze any faith worldview with these questions. Do they correspond with truth
by empirical or logical reasoning? Do the answers to each above question cohere
– meaning they must not contradict one another?

Something I want you to know:
I’m not perfect; I only know one who was.
I know I will not always do everything right. However, I will do my best to
serve this company. I will do so, because God has entrusted it to us to make
sure that it becomes a light to the world. You are a part of that. So be a
light for good this month and from now on out. Be the change that you wish to
see in the world. Our thoughts lead to actions, then to habits, then to
character, then destiny, and then finally eternal results. Your life is on
purpose so live it that way. LOVE YA
