JULY 2017

Business Tips:
·         The problem is probably you: This was a hard one for me early on in life. I lived life with a reckless know it all attitude. I soon realized that if I was going to get anywhere I had to realize that my roadblocks in life and business were normally me. From finances, family, work, etc, most things holding me back were items that I could internally fix myself. So, get your tools out and go to work.
·         Success takes hustle - Hustle is an act of focus, not frenzy. Hustle is about subtraction and addition. It’s not about doing more; it’s about focusing on the things you need to do, in order to move your business forward.” The ideas that got us here can always be improved upon with your help. So use your hustle to make the company better. Thoughts?

Personal Tips:
·         Follow your passion: Reading numerous biographies on great people and from my own personal observations and encounters, I’ve realized that those who achieve greatness professional and personally follow their passion. The reason why great people are few and far in-between is because most people don’t even know what their passion is.
·         Be Extraordinary: If you do the same thing as everyone else, it’s hard to be successful. It is important to find the edge and then push past it. That is how you become noticed and get what you want. Whether it is money, meaningful relationships and/or a sense of personal accomplishment, the extraordinary person attracts them all.

Life Skills:
Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, Friends, Fun, Following, Freedom; we call these the 8F’s in life. Many of these categories can tell one where their priorities are in life by measuring the time one would spend in one of the above categories.
Fitness
A fit person is someone who is capable of living life to its fullest extent. Physical and mental fitness play very important roles in your lives. People who are both, physically and mentally fit also are less prone to debilitating medical conditions.
Excess of anything is detrimental to your health. As a company we care, ask or seek help if you need it both physically and/or mentally. We will never pretend to have all the answers, but we want you to know we care.

Notable quotes:
“When you feel like quitting, think about why you started!”
“Authenticity requires a certain measure of vulnerability, transparency, and integrity. “ Janet Louise Stephenson
“Leaving your comfort zone is hard. Staying broke is hard. Pick your hard.”
“Don’t let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of yours.”
“The resentments you still hold against others are felt by everyone. Life’s just too short not to forgive.”

Something I want you to know:
In our family trust, our children must demonstrate certain capacities to be able to access anything that we will have accumulated in our lifetimes. We call these things gifts. These gifts are work, money, love, friends, laughter, giving, family, problems, learning, dreams, gratitude, and the gift of a day.
The gift of work is first for a reason and something that Tru-Bilt stands for. There are not many businesses’ that can boast of their company being the GOLD STANDARD of WORK. You guys are it! I know that our culture today is one that would rather sit back and just do nothing. Not you guys. You know what it takes to work endlessly, hard, and efficiently. I am super proud to be a part of the process and want you to know I recognize you. I will continue to try my best to reward the example of work that you bestow. As our culture continues to degrade in their wiliness to work hard, some of us may be the last line of defense to represent what it means to WORK HARD. So hold your heads up high knowing how unique you are and keep fighting the good fight.
All of our future may depend on it. Spread the word!

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~Telling the Story~ Some time ago, a friend of mine and his wife visited a major Maui tourist attraction called The Road to Hana. It comprised a long and winding road that, over the course of hours, took them through breathtaking scenery, waterfalls, cliffs, mountains, and beaches. At the end, there was nothing but the small town of Hana, with one gas station. When they finally arrived, my friend’s wife was very upset. She said, “We drove all of this way for this?” She missed the point. The Road to Hana is about the journey, not the destination. Don’t make the same mistake with The EOS Process. The journey of building a great business is not about the destination at all. Of course, you...

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~Traction~ The vision is clear, the right people are in the right seats, data is managed, you’re solving issues, you have defined your way of doing business and everyone is following it. Creating accountability, discipline and execution is where most weakness reveals itself. Traction is the ability to take a visionaries head out of the clouds and place it into clear action. Many are held back for the fear of creating discomfort, but with each hard step towards systematic success, things become straightforward even with contingencies and the tremendous peace of traction. From no accountability, poor communication, stagnation, chaos you will find just the opposite with traction. Accountability...
