Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~ 1 Year Plan~ Now it is time to bring your long-range vision down to the ground and make it real. That means deciding on what must get done this year. Remember, less is always more. Most companies make the mistake of trying to accomplish too many objectives per year. By trying to get everything done all at once, they end up accomplishing very little and feeling frustrated. With this awareness, we agreed that the team could choose only three goals for the coming year. They did, and by the end of the year, they accomplished all three, increased sales by 19 percent, and had their most profitable year in five years. When everything is important, nothing is important. The EOS approach is going t...

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~ Get it, Want it, and Capacity to do it (GWC)~ 1.Get it—have the aptitude, natural ability, and thorough understanding of the ins and outs of the job. You must honestly ask yourself if you truly get it—that you thoroughly grasp the job. You must comprehend it so well that there is no question in your own mind or those of your peers and direct reports. 2.Want it—sincerely desire the role. You genuinely desire the job of being in your position. No one talked you into it or begged you to take it. No one promised you a raise, a bonus, or a company car to entice you. You might have a bad day or two—that’s normal—but the challenges and obstacles energize you. You enjoy overcoming those ob...

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~ EOS – Why and how?~ Why are we implementing this system? We have found that we are somewhat haphazard in our ability to predict short term how our business is doing. We have managed fine, but we can get better. So, we have found a system that puts the pieces of the puzzle together for us in a very comfortable, progressive, and unifying approach. We know it will make us all better in our ability to predict, communicate, and focus on the main things. How are we implementing it? It is a process, so it will take a bit. Don’t hesitate to pick up the book - What the Heck Is EOS?: A Complete Guide for Employees in Companies Running on EOS by  Gino Wickman . We will gladly pay for the cop...

2020 New Years

We went through a year of talking about resolutions. You can find them in the previous months of newsletters that we have gone through together. The resolutions are very important and I recommend you looking at all of them again. I don't really believe that New Year's resolutions are scriptural. I really believe that you should live on purpose daily and be resolved to do so no matter what time of year it is or what your current disposition is. May it be a daily decision to start a new and be resolved to continue. My prayer for you and your family is that you continue to get better and to serve the God who is created you in a way like no other can. You're intelligent design has encoded you with a desire for something only God can fill. He loves you deeply through the good and the bad, the hills and the valleys, and joy and sorrow. We live a dependent life hopefully in service of the will of God. You will find once you submit to that will, not only is it the life that c...

Business Tips : TRACTION (EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System) Our management is implementing a new system called “Traction”. It will provide direction over the next year through a wonderful system. We look forward to sharing it with you here. We hope you will take the journey with us. ~ EOS – What is it?~ Its an operating system. That system is a way a company organizes all of its human energy. It’s the way that the people in the organization meet, solve problems, plan, prioritize, follow processes, communicate, measure, structure, clarify roles, lead, and manage. EOS is made up of 6 key components. They are vision, people, data, process, issues, and traction. Each of these components have tools to help the business stay and keep on track. We intend to implement these tools in order to be and become better. We would like to welcome you to the journey by inviting you to read What the Heck Is EOS?: A Complete Guide for Employees in Companies Running on EOS – By Gino Wickman...

Business Tips : 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth Our management is doing a new study on the John Maxwell curriculum with the book called the 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. We recommend you pick up a copy or listen to it online if you have the technology to do so. We will be exploring these laws as a team this year.                 The goal in the study is to help each of us learn how to grow and develop ourselves so we have the best chance of becoming the person we were created to be. ~ The Law of Contribution~ Growing yourself enables you to grow others. If you are not doing something with your life, it doesn’t matter how long your life is. In the morning, Benjamin Franklin would ask- What good shall I do today and in the evening he would ask - what good have I done today. He said, “I would rather have it said that I lived usefully rather than die rich.” – Benjamin Franklin. Instead of seeing how much m...
