Chase Your Dreams

I wanted to write this message just to remind all of us to chase our dreams, rather than just live a life that we are “used to” or just getting by. It seems like over this last few months many have felt the pressure of time getting away from them, or the so called economic crisis crushing some hopes, or even totally forgetting what one has been put on the earth for. This is a reminder that these effects will not get better soon so it’s good to have the healthy insulation of a dream to protect you. The interactions with political views, television ads, sports teams, and entertaining pleasures continue to wear the winning garb of conversations in the air. These are the topics I encourage all of us to address. Fight back with great books, great association, and a great culture of mentorship. I hope this message find you and yours at a time where you can knock of the shackles and barnacles of everyday life. I encourage you to start the dream cycle of what could be. Your dream is like a r...

Joy Comes with the morning

Psalms 30 - Joy Comes with the morning How true is it in our lives? Are we endeavoring to become more than just a fading existence. Is our morning just another morning or is it a planned conflict against the status quo. It is said that men lead lives of quiet desperation. I suggest to myself to lead a life of joy that is loud enough to hear the grass rustle, the ocean waves lap, the palm trees wisp, and the faded laughter of children in the distance. Our only desperation is for the fleeting time that dispenses like the sand in our hour glasses of existence here on earth. Joy can be had, experienced, and passed on. Its the feeling of firm foundation in a storm, its the eye of a tornado, its the smile of a child after a messy diaper, is all the peace of knowing God is in your midst that brings you true joy. ...it comes in the morning, before the morning, after the morning. You are blest!

ABIDE IN LOVE

ABIDE IN LOVE 1 JOHN 3:16-24 This passage hits home to me today. There are so many people out there that are lonely and forsaken. I sometimes feel like the only person that cares about the people that I meet with. Sometimes they have no family, sometimes they are a widow or a senior that others just pass by, and sometimes its the successful person spruced up in a coat of insignificance and a tie that is choking out the hope they have for meaning. Whatever the situation, the world yearns for recognition, love, and acceptance. I think at some point it's alright to be satisfied with what we have in life, however, I will never agree to the idea to be satisfied in who we are. It strengthens my belief to know that there are those of you out there that would lay down your life for someone else. It humbles me and makes me a better person to know that you are actively taking part in NOT a war on TERROR, but a WAR on perspective. We fight a fight to spread the message that we can ABIDE in...

Victory

by Herbert Kauffman You are the man who used to boast That you'd achieve the uttermost, Some day. You merely wished a show, To demonstrate how much you know And prove the distance you can go... Another year we've just passed through. What new ideas came to you? How many big things did you do? Time...left twelve fresh months in your care How many of them did you share With opportunity and dare Again where you so often missed? We do not find you on the list of Makers Good. Explain the fact! Ah no, 'twas not the chance you lacked! As usual-you failed to act.
